Mikeyokei on the rocks

A Vietnamese graphic and type designer. His work revolves around his own perspective on the world, on culture, on relationships, among other things.

In type, he wants to bring more Vietnamese representation into the wider practice, by bringing research and references into it.

He's available for graphic and type work of all kinds through Found A Foundry. For collaborations, reach out to him by email.

Currently in Type Media at KABK.

Mikey

I am a Ho Chi Minh City-based graphic and type designer with a background in brand design and a specialized focus on typography. My work is driven by the belief that letterforms are a powerful fusion of historical foundation and contemporary expression. Living and working in Vietnam, I am acutely aware of the lack of linguistic support for my native language in modern type design. This insight has shaped my core mission: to create sophisticated typefaces that fully support Vietnamese and to initiate design projects that channel Vietnam's unique aesthetic essence, sharing its inspiration on a global stage.
